he loves whisky but doesn't have much experience except with blends (but I want to buy him a single malt of course), while my budget is not too high, not over 150-200 euro (I could make an exception anyway)...

Well, as we know single malts aren't necessarily better than blends. With all that in mind here are a few things that fall in budget:

Theres a 50 year old strathisla 1957/2007 available form The Whisky Exchange only thing is that it costs £200 so might be a bit pricey mate. It sounds like a good whisky though (review on whiskyfun.com ) got 92 pts.

@kian : thanks for the hint! there's also a 1963 version on master of malt that is much cheaper...I just wonder how they can sell an almost 50 years old bottle at that price... @PeatAndMeat: the last two ones are on my notebook!

After spending three days with unsuccessful researches, I directly ask to you all: any advice for a bottle that matches this occasion? And that possibly doesn't cost me a fortune?
