Adelphi Liddesdale Batch 3

This is an 18 year old expression of Bunnahabhain matured in ex sherry casks, on a large hill. Liddesdale is the large hill in question and is only a few miles from where Adelphi want to set up their very own distillery (Ardnamurchan)

• Nose: little bit of oak and tannins, some aromatic peat, little bit of brine. With water little bit richer, and a little peatier.

• Pallet: sherry comes first, spicy, peaty, sweetness and fruits, just the occasional waft or 2 of smoke. With water bit of road tar.

• Finish: fruity and bubble gum interestingly enough, smokes fades in and out, finish leaves the mouth-watering. With water maybe saltier?

• Mark neat: 8.4 with water 8.4.

This is not bad, ive never had an 18 year old expression of Bunna but im not sure this is really up to standard, good but not very good
