Adelphi Private Stock Blend

Adelphi, one of the worlds more famous independent bottlers. Recently my local had a tasting hosted by none other than Mr Charles Mclean and Alex Bruce (Adelphi's sales and marketing director). A most interesting insight into the whisky world. This particular dram is one Mr Mclean prefers after a hard day at the office/

• Nose: grainy but smooth, saw dust, salted caramel, cereal notes, digging deep will reveal peach and a bit of raisin.

• Pallet: spicy, all mid pallet, salt again some fruit and a little peaty

• Finish: smooth as anything, pallet just fades away slowly but surely, good stuff.

• Mark: 8.1

a good solid blend, not too sweet, not too harsh, not too complex, just one to relax and unwind with.
