Ruben, summery? The heavy sherry and bouillon made it a winter dram for me (so much for winters in Israel, but hey. we got some rain).

I see what you mean, it's full-flavoured but that doesn't make it a winter dram for me. It's more on garden fruits than dry fruits and it lacks spices to call it wintery. Sure it's sherried, but far from heavy sherry in my opinion.

Well, it's not a sherry monster but it's intense. a nice dram I wouldn't mind to keep handy ;)

Ruben, For me it is due to the nuttiness more of a wintery dram, but hey, taste differs and we both seem to like it as our scores are almost the same. But I have a question for you : What do you mean by the colour = Chardonnay ? In my humble opinion Chardonnay isn't a colour, but either a grape or a type of wine, both of which can vary in colour (for exemple grape: unripe to overripe; the wine : young metal cask matured to old(er) oak cask matured, even the region defines the final colour of the wine) so as a description of a colour it is to me not very usefull. I'm allways struggling with the description of the colour, so what do you think about this discussion ?

Yeah, sorry for that, but colours are a weak point of Connosr. You select it in a tiny bar with actual colour samples and then suddenly it is translated into a verbal description. Of course it is not Chardonnay, it's definitely darker than that.

On a side note, I don't care too much about the colour. It's not a quality measurement and it's not very useful in a review imho so I'd rather leave it out.

Ah allright, didn't know that the colourdescription was added by Connosr, by selecting it from a "tiny" colourbar. Thought you where using this as an actual colour description, So forgive me my comment, I'm (quite) new here and while I'm using my own blog for my tasting notes, I haven't post it a note here yet.

@GJR71 No problem, have a look at the review page to get an idea: www.connosr.com/reviews/write/ The fact that the colour bar is continuous adds to the difficulty of knowing what you're selecting exactly. Not the mention the basic problems of screen calibration and things like that.

@Connosr Thanks. I never mentioned it because it seems relatively harmless / unimportant to me.

I agree the color bar needs a change, but with color additives and color saying very little about a dram, i dont really attribute much to it.

Very interesting review, Ruben. I quite like the anCnoc 12; based on this review and the one by @galg, I'll have to keep an eye out for this vintage.
