Okay... an Arran that finished on a quarter cask of the Belgian triple beer Ne Flierefluiter... let's face it: that's unique! And of course this is the brainchilde of our our good friend Jan Vissers of the Single Malt Whisky Shop Zammel, who is both an ambassador of Arran and of the beer Ne Flierefluiter. Funnily enough, not so long ago I tasted the beer Ne Flierefluiter Whisky Infused & Oaked. You can guess which barrel was used for this...
Arran's DNA is unmistakable on the nose, but the beer is detectable too! Nice and fresh on white and yellow fruit, some malt sugars, marzipan and something... uh... milky. But it works fine, really! Nice and spicy in the bargain.
It's nice and oily. No, feel free to make it creamy! Intensely sweet on yellow and stone fruit with apricots in the lead. A bit herbal, too. And again I have the impression to taste the beer. Would that be between my ears? This is very good, really!
The finish is long, warm, sweet and spicy. And very satisfying.
Unique Arran. Love this. I'm going to taste it again, with the beer next to it! I can again thank my companion Benny for the sample.

I love Arran and I love Belgian Tripels. This one I would love to find.
