Not unlike the Springbank (along with Hazelburn and Longrow) CV's or even the Aberlour A'bunadh this is a whisky created to show what Benromach is all about, to display the character of this North-Eastern Speysider.
Nose: peat, grassy, malty, complex, citrus, nutty and a touch of banana skin
Pallet: soft light, spicy, very clean spirit, malty again, also some sweet fruit notes
Finish: peat lasts well and some wood spice for a little tingle
Mark neat – 8.2
It's good, nice and light, decent flavours, a good price ($70 AUD), what more do you need?
