Brown-Forman Old Forester Signature

The nose: Classic bourbon nose. Fresh, to slightly charred oak at first sniff. Followed by a honey, vanilla second sniff. Almost a citrusy fruit smell lingers.

The taste: Again, just a classic bourbon oaky flavor is very present to start. As that dissipates throughout the mouth, a honeyed/caramelized fruit emerges but is very subtle. The finish is spicy but not overwhelming. The finish does not linger as much as I expect/want out of a 100 proof bourbon.

In my area (southern Indiana) I got this bottle for $18.95. An absolute steal if you ask me. Great sipping bourbon that is very enjoyable served neat. For the price, you should feel no shame in mixing it in a cocktail.
