Sketch the Soul! This is the name of the artwork on the label, from the American fantasy and metal artist Tony Koehl. This bottling is the first in a series of three by David Stirk’s Creative Whisky Company. It is a Caperdonich that was distilled on 2 October 1992 and matured for 20 years. Only 300 bottles are available.
Ah, now this is Caperdonich! Very luscious nose filled with sweetness. Honey, eggnog, beeswax and juicy cherries. Something grainy too. Wonderful!
It is nicely mouth coating and creamy. Wonderfully sweet, as one might expect from Caper. Spicy too. Nutmeg, black peppers and cinnamon. Marzipan. This one dos not need water. This is enjoyable.
The finish is fairly long and remains very sweet and spicy.
Sturdy fellow, this Caperdonich. Around 100 EUR.
