Googled some, and found a picture and a bit of a write-up about it. While pretty long, this piece doesn't actually mention a whole lot of new information about this whisky, but here's a link anyway: forbes.com/sites/joemicallef/…
Also found a review, it's from the Whiskey Jug and while he's my go to reviewer for bourbon, I tend to ignore his opinions on Canadian whisky as he appears to have a general dislike of the category. This release didn't change that, but here you go: thewhiskeyjug.com/canadian-whiskey/…

I've had it. It tastes rather thin and unremarkable, but maybe it will open up a little over time. As you may know, Crown and most Canadian whisky is blended from a combination of flavoring rye whisky and more neutral flavored grain whisky. My suspicion is that this was a simple grain whiskey that was stored in used cooperage and for whatever reason it was never used in blending crown. There is very little wood influence (used cooperage) and it most certainly doesn't have a heavy rye character. This does however appear to be one of the rarer Orphan Barrels. The bottle numbers on the labels I've seen are in the hundreds and not tens of thousands.

I just learned about a new Orphan Barrel release coming down the pipes, and thought I'd start a thread about it.
A while back Davin DeKergommeaux did a Q&A over at Canada Whisky on Reddit and mentioned this new expression:
1992 makes it 25 years old this year, so another older Canadian whisky hitting shelves soon. Does anyone here know anything more about it?
