This Constellation Collection vintage 1980 matured for the full 31 years on Apostoles sherry casks, what explains the very dark color.
It is full and rich on the nose with a whole range of fruits. Think mandarin, lime, grapefruit, but also raisins and dades. Wonderful touches of chocolate and sniffing tobacco. Toffee apples, toffee and overripe banana. Boy, words simply do not suffice to describe the complexity of thise nose. Absolutely stunning. Mouthwatering.
It caresses the taste buds like silk. Just a tiny bit spicy. Think ginger and some cloves. But sweet enough to make your teeth fall out of your mouth. Banana, caramelized oranges, Sirop de Liège, marzipan and so much more. Very complex and creamy.
Medium long finish on more of the above.
Absolutely a top dram! Around 5.000 EUR. Snickering is allowed.
