Glenfarclas 15 Year Old

Went to a Glenfarclas tasting led by George Grant recently, and we had an opportunity to taste almost the whole line! Plus an exclusive bottling for the liquor store we were tasting at! Truly superb distillery!

Nose: This stuff is awesome. Sherry explosion, truly powerful sherry vanilla, cream in the nose, hint of spiciness as well...

Palate: It simply explodes in the mouth, but immediately mellows out and leads you by the hand slowly into the lovely sweet and absolutely savoury finish.

Finish: Sweet sweet and more sweet, this stuff is truly great. Nice and complex with much of the flavours in the nose and palate continuing on an on...

Everyone needs to get this stuff. I found the 21 and 25 to be good, with a great oak note in the 25. The 30 and 40 are SUPERB drams for the money as well. This 15 year old truly holds its own against other drams for the same money and even completely better than ones for more money...
