As far as I can tell, cask #9305 has led a double life. One the one hand there is the general release by Number One Drinks that counted 626 bottles at 53,4% ABV, but Full Proof seems to have managed to market 200 bottles at a slightly lower ABV. I do not know the exact story behind this, but that it is a great whisky, you can read below.
On the nose I get wonderful rum-raisins and milk chocolate with liqueur. Prunes with candied sugar. Chestnuts! Something meaty, too, that makes this very interesting.
It is full and creamy and fills the mout completely with a spicy whisky on cinnamon, cloves and liquorice. The sherry translates into banana, dades and bitter oranges. Wonderful touch of smoke! The oak slowly but surely becomes loud, but the whole is as balanced as a tightrope artist.
The long finish remains spicy and sweet.
Complex animal from a lost distillery.
