The Exclusive Range from David Stirk’s Creative Whisky Company bottles relatively young, affordable, easy drinking whiskies. This one, with its 13 years, falls into that category.
The nose is fresh and grainy with loads of citrus fruits, warm vanilla biscuits, honey and wild flowers. Rather simply but far from bad.
It is a bit oily on the palate. Mildly spiced. Again a lot of citrus and vanilla. Midpalate, the spices pipe up. Heather, cloves and light pepper. A nice continuation of the nose and very drinkable.
The finish is not very long, but nicely warm with (finally) a trace of smoke.
A simple, but pretty quaffable HP. Typical card players whisky. With a tag of 45 EUR, it is quite affordable indeed.
