I'm waiting on the free app from WhiskyCast, that should be upon us sometime this or next month. Having said that, I do kinda like the Whisky iOdic Table from iStolz.

I think an iPhone App would be a great compliment to this site. No doubt the owners have been thinking about that already. Something that you could use to create reviews and tasting notes from your phone whilst sipping.

I bought the app - decided what the hell. It's okay though it didn't have my first entry - a cheap n cheerful blend called whyte and mackay special.

At the risk of spoiling surprises, a well placed source tells me a Connosr App could be closer than we think. And it'll almost certainly be free.

I like iWhisky the best but also like the app simply called "Whisky" by Collins gem (?) it adds a few more dimensions and is especially good for someone just starting on their journey in the world of whisky

So, I stumbled onto Connosr a few days ago and have been enjoying the discussions and suggestions. Then this thread pops up today. I am co-owner of an iOS development company with a strong track record of producing apps for web sites and other clients. If the owners of Connosr are reading this, I would love to talk with you about a Connosr app.

Well I'm currently trying to write one for MeeGo / Symbian platform. I have whisky searching / average rating / picture working. I'm currently writing the "review reader".
When it's ready it should be "easily" portable to iPhone / Android. I don't know when it'll be ready though I'm working on it on my free time.

It's been mentioned but I'd like to second the iWhisky app, it's actually what got me into serious scotch in the first place. Also there is an app development studio that's made the (rum, vodka, whisky (excluding scotch whisky)) Connoisseur apps and they plan to make one for scotch as well, which will be nice when it finally comes out.

Dramatic Whisky has this in the pipeline, and it looks quite interesting: www.themash.info

I am using iMalt HD on my iPad. Very nice app and very worth the year subscription. Updates to the main list of distilleries comes out often, one to two weeks or so. The app developer is responsive and engaged.

I'm on Android, but would love a site designed for mobiles which just gives you a flavour wheel and lets you plot points on it as you taste a whisky. Submit to database for awesomepoints.

I would love an iPhone app for connosr so I could consult my wishlist when I am at my local booze-monger Or a mobile formatted version of the website.

Hi we have recently released a whisky app on Appstore called Whiskylog. This app let's you add tasting notes in a very easy way. Simple and straight forward.
It's free to download and use. If you like it and want to store more than 5 whisky then you have to buy it for 2.99$ to compensate the time we spend to develop the app.
We would like to have feedback to make it better, please try it out if you like.
Best Regards Daniel Developer of Whiskylog

There are a few iPhone apps regarding this wonderful drink and some appear better than others. Has anyone got a favourite app and why?
Some offer ratings and reviews, others give info on the distilleries, some show bottles and tasting notes. Is their an ultimate one does it all.
iWhiskey seems like a good bet looking at the description but it's nearly £7.
