Nose: Malty, grassy, and some very lightly dried fruits (pineapple, apricots, mango, and clementine). You get the idea. Subtle on apple pie at first, and a touch of anise. The apples get bigger with time. Light mushroom. Vanilla is clearly in there. Something of nuts and mellow oil. Very nice.
Palate: Oh, very nice here, too. Rich and a good close of wood - but it just provides structure to the assortment of flavors. Honey, linseed oil, pear, bitter peach flesh. Soft cinnamon and other brown, off-sweet spices. Tropical and mellow fruits. Almonds. More rancio developing. A little grainy light pudding with lemon.
Finish: Really graceful. More of teh same. Has a lot of the lighter, tropical notes, but really develops on the rich oils and nuts. Very well balanced. I like this sort of thing a lot.
