I have the Android version of the Whisky Bible 2012 (Pro) and found it to be a huge disappointment, mainly because the search function is bad to the point of being useless.
Searches yield results in no apparent order and any attempt to filter the results (or even access them) ends in failure.
For example, if I search for SMWS then I am presented with a lengthy results list ... in no particular order. If I go on to type "SMWS 29" to restrict it to the Laphroaigs then the results list is empty, even though there are over a dozen SMWS 29. something in the database (if you scroll long enough and are lucky not to click instead of scrolling.
When I look at individual entries at randow, the text is well laid-out and informative, but searching for something is neigh impossible.

Thanks Olivier, it is not available on the US Itunes store, apparently only the UK one. I know there are ways to register in a different country even when one is not resident there to get access to country specific apps but given the poor reviews, I don't think it is worth it.

I like it when I'm shopping for whisky (I use the 2012 iPhone version available in the US). It's never steered me wrong. Anyone know when the 2013 version will arrive here in the US?

The 2013 printed version is already available, while the app should be delivered before March.

As a new convert to the Ipad experience, I am tempted to forego my annual order of the print version in lieu of the Ipad version. However, there is a recent thread here about the 2013 WB where a member (Wodha) criticizes the Ipad version. I was wondering if anybody else has comparisons they care to share?
I can see how a bad conversion could almost make things worse. Then again, there are some aspects of the print version I do not like, for one the text is way too small and the binding is stiff, meaning that unfortunatley the intro text does not get read as much as the reviews.
I need to check out some of the reviews on the Ipad store. Has anybody from Connosr drafted a review on the Itunes store?
