Wood IN your whisky

I love seeing little wood flakes in my whisk(e)y. It makes the experience seem more natural and enjoyable to me. These particular pictures are Corsair Single Barrel oatrage. The little specks are bits of oaky goodness. What do you guys think? I know we all love to see whisk(e)y NCF. Do you enjoy whisky this way or do the wood bits bother you?

@casualtorture I can't say that I've ever experienced actual wood in my whisky. I've commented that some was so oaky it left splinters in my tongue but that was just figurative. However, I do like the idea of it being au naturale - so long as I don't have to strain it through my teeth XD

@Hewie this particular bottle is bottle 116/116 of a single barrel, so I imagine being at the bottom of the oak has something to do with it.
