My passion for the complexities of whisky is quite new, but I have loved drinking it since my dad would give me sips as a teenager. My journey has already taken me to a couple of whisky tastings in London and recently a week in Islay touring the distilaries, and as I'm only 23 I'm sure I have plenty of time to follow it to many more incredible places.

My perfect whisky had a deep caramel sweetness, with maybe a hint of chocolate or raisins, a dash of peaty smokiness and a long, warm finish. I'm very fond of Islay whiskies, favourite distillery would probably be Bowmore or possibly Lagavulin. But I like a good Dalmore or others from time to time. Not often so keen on the Speysides but I occasionally find a Speyside to fall in love with... if the mood strikes.
