A morose and grumpy Scot pushing 60, living in a small sea-side town in Spain. My everyday tipple these days is Ballentine's Finest, but when Spanish friends arrive for a "cup of tea" I break out the good malts. (the Spanish simply ignore my morosity; they seem to see it as a characteristic, rather than a personality flaw)

My finest achievement to date is weaning a brandy-drinking Spaniard onto Laphroaig. Prior to that my second-finest accomplishment was converting another friend from Red Bull and Vodka to a decent Malt.
