I started my formal whisky journey in 2011, but the original inspiration dates back to someone I met in 2008. I consider myself a whisky academic, meaning that I read and research about it more than I drink it.

I go for quality over quantity. I tend to like bold flavours and cask strength expressions, but recently I've been learning to appreciate more of the subtle flavours in styles like Canadian whisky.

In many ways I still feel like a beginner...
