A discovering whiskyist with a sweet tooth towards Islay whiskies and especially the the threesome in the southern part of the island.
I generally appreciate a nice full body with peat and smoke, but also enjoy the whiskies with that are balanced, fruity and/or maybe even sweet taste. In general, the whisky has to have some character, something (positively) unique that labels it as what it is.
A good examples of the whiskies I really enjoy are Laphroaig's and Lagavulin's, but also Elijah Craig and other quality bourbons as well Glenmorangie or Kavalan as the non-smoky favourites. Quite simply, there's a lot of good whisky out there, especially made for us whisky lovers.
