Nose: the scent is sweet and warm as well as slightly floral. There is a note of citrus and a pleasant hint of apple as well

Body: The whisky is initially smooth on the palate but gives way to a dynamic harshness that lingers on the tongue

Palate: the first taste is sweet honey and lemon, which carries the sweetness but this gives way to a delicate smooky flavour that lingers longest on the palate

All in all this is a delicious whisky and I was pleased to hear at a recent tasting that the organic whisky was to be a regular feature on the Bruichladdich list...
