This is a review for CWC Exclusive Casks Bruichladdich 1991 22 year old, one of 222 bottles.
Picked this up abroad, as with most of my whisky collection since the selection here in Ontario, Canada, is so abysmal.
Nose: fondant, burnt sugar, toast, and mild fruit. Quite inviting!
Palate: sweet arrival - strawberries! Seriously. Honey, cereal, and mild spice as well.
Finish: sweet spice, then spice erupts on the palate and transitions into a pleasant, lingering finish.
Another very nice draw that was quite a surprise. Very drinkable despite the ABV (does not require water). It took about two months for the open bottle to fully develop and, over time, became slightly sweeter.
