Nose: wine notes , some red fruit and Peaty sweetness. Condensed milk and some fruit salad. Wee smoke, and the signature ‘Laddie’ DNA is there. Think of Octomore 2.2, but a lot weaker and and not as aggressive.
Palate: Sherry. Spice. Chilly. Burnt sugar. rather Winey. Big and Powerful delivery. Peat and sherry nicely combined. Some hints of tropical fruit (papaya) , but dominated by the Chilly.
Finish: Long,Spicy, continuing on the chilly theme.

I have the same bottle in my current list…overall -I agree with your description … my problem is just that I am not as content about the overall harmony of the match… the condensed milk… reminded me a tad to (Swiss) cheese -which has most likely more to do with me :))… so I better excuse myself for that :), but I am somewhat increasingly bewildered about Jim McEvans “craziness” ) Mark Reyniers marketing …I have these days increasingly the feeling that they are more into producing PR stunts than creating what I am waiting for…sorry…. I am going with 80 Points…not more… moreover, the spirit is too young!
