Light Amber in colour
Nose is malty, musty, liquorice root, dried spices, floral, honey, stewed plums, oak, possibly a hint of smoke
Palate: smooth mouth feel, almost creamy. It has a light pepper bite but the fruit shows through. Cherries, stewed plums, raisins, orange peel.
Finish is medium long , slight pepper, very light smoke and sherried fruits
A very drinkable dram. A really good example of a DE.
