Glendronach single cask bottlled in 2010, from a Pedro Ximinez Sherry Cask
Nose: Fruity as anything but in a different way than I’m used to. Passionfruit, melon pineapple even some paw paw, then baked apples, cinnamon and those sickly sweet sugared cherries. And again this weird (and wonderful) mustard note comes through
Pallet : smooth smooth smooth! Intensely sweet, then a hit of citrus followed by fruits from the nose, cloves and some muscovado
Finish: slowly through the dram the smoke comes to the surface a little more and it announces itself here, bacon as well, toast molasses and slightly woody too. This is fantastic
Mark: 9.3
Sooooo interesting, these are flavours that i dont see very often and another reason why single cask whiskies are so great
