I read that article before xmas and smiled - giving up booze except for wine and beer I'm assuming he's been off the real harder stuff for years now?
@Jonathan - I though the same 'JD'? You'd hope he was at least having his own private barrels bottled and shipped out to him directly . . . The image of him popping down to the local offy for a bottle of JD doesn't sit right ha ha!
Which reminds me . . . (there are some naughty words, by an American no less, so you've been warned )

Keef has always enjoyed his JD (lots of '70s photos with him drinking it). If I were a multi-millionaire, I'd still drink it too.

One of my favorite pics of Keith Richards...strutting on the tarmac of some airport, clutching a case under his arm that is probably filled with the "tools of the trade" and then a bottle of JD in hand.

@cricklewood And I highly recommend his autobiography "Life". VERY entertaining.

@talexander Pfft...Keith Richards sucks. Now Alex Lifeson on the other hand....that’s a guitar player!

@OdysseusUnbound Sigh - this argument has gone CROSS-PLATFORM! Lifeson is indeed a great guitarist, and Lee is a great bassist. And Peart is one of the greatest drummers of all time. Put them all together and you get......ugh. Ha! You know, kinda like taking all those great single malts, putting them together and getting....Johnny Red??

@talexander Woah, woah! I’m all for a bit of fun, but let’s not take it too far!!

@OdysseusUnbound I WILL admit - drumming to Tom Sawyer on Rock Band is totally awesome (and I'm good at it!)

I'm just surprised that he was drinking JD. He can afford Port Ellen! I though JD was for the Guns and Roses set (as prop). I hope he can still get his rocks off when I see him in May.... I guess that he's "gonna walk before they make him run."
