Knockando 1993 12 Year old

If this was a movie, it would be a Friday night romantic comedy. Easy to watch, well romantic comedies are not easy for everybody but you know what I mean. Easy comedy.

This doesn't mean that the taste was ridiculous. I actually enjoyed Knockando's easy going lightness. Referencing to Some Like It Hot doesn't mean that this is a screwball whisky either. It is mainly a reference to the small spicy factor, that Knockando 12 yrs had to offer.

The fact that I liked it this much is a surprise. Heavy aromas and complexity are the main factors I usually go for. That confirms to me that Knockando 12 is a good whisky.

Nose: Fruity and earthly with slight floral notes. Very sharp.

Taste: Dry and peppery with some sweetness as well.

Finish: Short and very smooth, bit spicy.

Balance: Very light in every step. There's a wee spiciness but it shouldn't distract even a beginner. In fact, this would be a good dram for beginners, very easy to drink.
