Matured on refill American oak and virgin oak.
N: Immediately quite peaty and smoky on the nose with fish oil, roasted pine nuts, smoldering hearth and even goat stable. In fact, I also get cauliflower, fish oil, raw steak and something from oysters and plasticine. Fascinating! S: On the palate, the party continues with peat, pepper, apples and vanilla, but also fatty white fish (raw turbot) and vegetal notes such as seaweed. Woodsmoke galore. This is great. F: A wonderfully long, warm finish with both peat smoke and woodsmoke, intense herbs and a salty touch. C: Ah, the old faithful Laga 12 that is present year after year in this series... and year after year turns out to be one of the highlights.
