Laphroaig Triple Wood

Thanks for your review. I must have had a very different batch than the one whence came this bottle. I hate black licorice, so I can say I did not get that note at all. Your last sentence is pretty spot on, though. Definitely more sweet alongside the peat.

Thanks for reading the review, I always find an aniseed/fennel type note to Laphroaig, along with Dettol... You familiar with that stuff? My mom would wash the house with it and treat our cuts and scrapes with the same stuff too, bonkers!

That said, it was fairly mild, I've always liked the Triple Wood, perhaps a bit more than QC which is a touch heavy on the vanilla.

@cricklewood i have a friend you told me to spray Dettol around entrances to the house, and sprinkle crushed chili peppers (dried) to keep out the earwigs.

@Nozinan I found the remainder of a now vintage bottle of Dettol at my mother's house. It lists percentages of dilution in order to disinfect linens after outbreaks, it also mentions for health professionals to contact them for a brochure on correct percentages for these types of situation.

Did you try the tip for the earwigs?

I have indeed noticed this one getting more love now that it's discontinued.

@MadSingleMalt what a difference a few years makes, this was first released as travel retail and then became part of the stable. At that time it would have still been possible to obtain Laphroaig 15, 18 rather easily.

Now that we find ourselves inundated in NAS Laphroaig expressions, perhaps people don't feel so bad for this one.
