This is a translation of one of my German reviews and dates back to Autumn 2012 when I attended a tasting with the guys from Adelphi.
At the first sniff there are fresh cut flowers. The alcohol is coming through quite sharp - mellowing with water and turning into lemongrass and citrus notes.
On the palate there is much more going on. Sweeter now. There are Almonds, Vanilla and Oak. Charcoal from the fridge (does that make sense?) The Lemongrass is still there with a subtle spicyness. Very mouthcoating.
The finish is medium long and spicy.
A Bourbon Cask matured Malt that needs a good dash of water. The sharpness on the nose prevents a higher score.
