@Victor's profile
I am a lover of the better examples of all styles of whisky, worldwide. I am also a Big Flavours Lover, whose top favourite whiskies are usually at Cask Strength/Barrel Proof. 68% ABV or more is my favourite drinking strength. That love for the Big Flavours does not keep me from appreciating many delicately flavoured whiskies, most of which are bottled at the minimal strengths of 40% or 43% ABV. With experience, I have found examples of every style and type of whisky from all over the world which I have enjoyed. I have also found that a great deal of experience has led me to being more tolerant of some flavour profiles which I did not originally like.
My closest whisk(e)y-drinking buddies are my wife, aka @Dramlette, and my eldest sister, aka @Maddie. A man is greatly blessed by having whisky-loving women in his life. Whisky is meant to be a shared social experience, and not merely a solitary experience followed by words typed into the void of the internet. If you don't already have a whisky network, I suggest that you form one, even if it means recruiting newcomers to the hobby.
