I'm also interested in any other sherry bombs (or lower proof grenades) that I may not know about. Two stores in the areas have stopped carrying the A'bunadh because of the increased price, so I'm looking around...

@Jonathan If you go for it you must let us know if it is anything like the legendary CS.

@Jonathan The LiquorHound has a good review of this one on YouTube. It is apparently not the old CS. Matured in SEASONED sherry casks, not old school sherry casks.

@BlueNote the original Mac CS was matured in seasoned sherry casks...said so on the box.

@Nozinan Ah, I wonder if the earlier versions were matured in full on sherry casks. I didn't realize the corner cutting affected the later CS output. I have never had the good fortune to taste it, but regardless of the cask component it always got excellent reviews right up until its untimely demise.

@BlueNote, seasoned sherry cask (Macallan) = 2 years of sherry in a cask...that's a long season, dude. Sherry season is 2 years long lol

I don't remember who posted the link to an article here, but it was very informative about just what "sherry cask" means and it may be that most of these casks are seasoned. But if a seasoned cask is what makes Mac CS what it is, who am I to complain?
