This new Macmyra came second in our whisky world cup, beating some fantastic opposition. Even those of us who weren’t madly keen on the Preludiums (such as me, I didnt like the early ones at all) were blown away by this.
Nose: Sherbet, bubble gum, herbal, almonds, sweet William pear, acetone.
Taste: Quite faint to begin with but then explodes with fruit, salt and pepper, sweet and savoury, fisherman’s friends, miso soup, late spice and peat. An absolutely mind-blowing whisky.
Finish: Vanilla sherbet, an oaky surge and then fading woodiness.
In our blind tasting of 10 people it was only just pipped by the Scottish single malt. I dont think its generally available yet, but its one to look for

I've always wanted to try what our Swedish neighbours had to offer in the whisky world. I've never actually bothered to try the regular Preludiums, but I've only heard good things about them.
