The original Super Nikka was released in 1962 to honour the deceased wife of Masataka Taketsuru, Rita. They first met in Scotland after Teketsuru had been sent there to learn the secrets of whisky making. They then married and moved back to Japan, where Rita pushed Masataka to branch out and open his own distillery. This particular dram is not the original Super Nikka, but the limited edition 'Revival' bottling that is supposed to be a homage to that love letter dram. Unfortunately, I haven't tried the original Super Nikka so I can't compare the two but I can tell you I like this!

What more do you need to know? :)
Sounds like an interesting whiskey, did part of your review not get posted? All I can see is a description of what this new bottling is, I don't see the review.
