Not sure if there are many, if any, golfers on here but I'll start a thread anyway . . .

Who's watching the Ryder Cup and what are your predictions?

I had the USA retaining at the least and they've made a good start although Europe are looking to have the upper hand in the foursomes at the moment. Looks set to be another enthralling contest!

There was much joking on the US sports shows yesterday about whether the sports discussers were willing to get up at 2 am local time to watch the Ryder Cup. I am sure some, but not many, did.

I will watch the occasional TV golf, but I don't make a habit of it.

Back when I was ages 12-25 I shot a lot of pars and birdies, but I haven't been out on a course yet in this millennium.

@Victor - Yeah the time lag isn't ideal for US viewing I guess? I've always liked watching golf on TV even before I really got into playing it. I know the media like to over do the hype these days but I still think it's one of the best sporting events on the calendar.

US or Europe then? relaxed

@RianC I don't know most of the players well enough to form an opinion.

I just saw the headline about the spectator hit in the eye by Koepka's tee shot. Almost as dangerous for spectators as rally driving!

@Hewie - I've had a couple of close scrapes playing never mind watching! I got someones drive on the back of my calf a while back - thought I'd been shot for a second! Left a huge bruise but luckily hit the meaty part. If it had hit the back of my head or a bony bit I'd have been KO'd or looking at a fracture I reckon.
