On the nose I got orange creamsicle dipped in rum. Other fruity notes of raisins and pears swirled around the glass. There was a very slight hint of peat smoke, a moderate presence of butterscotch, a hint of Band-Aids, and rubbing alcohol. The whiskey was not very bold on the palate, but sweet and smooth with some more butterscotch. This reminded me of a young Glen Ord. Also some sage or caraway seeds on the palate. The finish was warm, peppery, and rather long-lasting with a slight hint of bitterness and Swiss cheese at the end.
