Great thread @hunggar! McCarthy's Oregon Single Malt by Clear Creek Distillery is a great value alternative to the (usually) rightly hyped Islay peated whiskies. As I recently discovered, the general flavour profile of the bottle also holds up quite well, after having the bottle opened for a while.

I haven't been on here as much recently, but my current attempt at sounding like a broken record centers around Lot 40 Canadian rye whisky by Corby Distillers. It is what Canadian rye should be! I would looooove to see at higher than the current 43% abv (though kudos to a large scale Canadian distiller for issuing something over 40% in the first place).
