I am looking to spend £50 odd ($80) for a quality scotch ,but there are too many choices in this price bracket. I have been looking at Springbank or Longrow,Highland Park,Bunnahabhain 18...etc, but just cant make up my mind...what have you had in this price bracket that you would highly recommend?

I finally got round to buying an Old Pulteney 17 Year Old a few weeks back - delicious whisky and one of the best in the £50 price range in my opinion.

@Smokehead I would consider, if you like Islay whiskies, a Laphroaig 18, Bunnahabhain 12, Lagavulin 16, or Talisker 10. I would definitely consider the Highland Park or a Macallan 12/15. I'm in Louisiana, and all these whiskies are well within your price range here.

My choices would be Lagavulin 16 or Laphroaig 18. Just my two cents.
