I'm a geologist in the gold mining industry. I've been a single malt scotch drinker since 2003 when I first tasted the Glenmorangie 10yr, and am gradually working through trying the more readily available malts. I tend to like complex, cask strength whiskies, with or without peat smoke, served neat.
