Whisk(e)y is a hobby for me. I am fascinated by the process, the story, and the science/alchemy that results in the dram sitting before me. It started with a couple of bottles of Scotch from my soon to be stepfather a decade ago (Glenlivet 12 and Lagavulin 16). I am partial to Scotch but enjoy trying all types of spirits. Having a dram in the presence of my lovely wife and son at the end of a hard day's work is my idea of luxury. I've been keeping tasting notes for a couple of years but only recently discovered a spot to share with fellow whisk(e)y nerds!
