By day I work as a mechanical designer working on industrial gearboxes and related components. By evening and weekend I ride bikes a lot - two mountain bikes for either going fast downhill or going fast uphill, and a touring bike for going places whether far or near. I also love camping and backpacking, and am a gear nerd in all of the above so I take a lot of pride in my equipment.

Oh, and I do have a soft spot for beer and whisky too, which brings me here. I love beers of all kinds provided they are craft brews. I tend to like strong beers, whether IPA's, ales, or stouts. Like scotch, these offer the greatest complexity and are great sipping beers. For whisky, I like bourbon fine but single malts are my passion. I regularly daydream about the bottles I have and the ones I want next. I also happen to enjoy drinking them, I don't collect and thus my cabinet's not overly impressive, but it sure is tasty.
