Relative newcomer to the world of scotch and other whiskies. First loves were on a Highland Park 12 and a Caol Ila 12. I've since discovered a taste for both peated and sherried scotch...very few scotches (or ryes) I don't seem to enjoy as long as they are full flavored and not too oaky. Favorites include Lagavulin 16, Glendronach 15, Aberlour A'bunadh, and G&M Mortlach 15, and various Glenmorangies.
Other passions of mine include reading, good food, music of many varieties (but mostly rock), baseball (let's go Mets), and chess.
