Liquid Treasures is a young German bottler that has about 30 casks on their resumé so far. From the Lowlands they already bottled a Littlemill 1988 and this Bladnoch 1990.
The nose is very aromatic on yellow apples, grapefruit, breakfast cereals, vanilla and crystal sugar. It is sweeter than most Bladnoch, I think. The breakfast cereals evolve toward oatmeal, with sugar on top. Very pleasant.
It is creamy and sticks to your teeth. The leading fruits are clearly grapefruit and some others from the citrus family, while the spices are limited to some white pepper and vanilla. I also get a big dose of quinine. And yet it is very sweet (as opposed to bitter), as if a handful of sugar was added.
It even becomes sweet as candy in the long finish!
Wonderful, sweet Bladnoch that is unfortunately hard to find these days.
