Without water this is too overpowering - it's a bit of a nasal burner. So all notes are with water...
A buttery nose with cinder toffee. Peatier than average for Bunna, (which still means not particularly peaty). I also get a hint of spicy ginger. It gradually mellows after a few minutes and now I can detect dark fruit with a touch of cake icing.
I immediately think milk chocolate and toffee on the palate. Quite silky soft. Subtle dried fruits and the tiniest note of smokiness - most peatiness evident on the nose seems to be missing from the palate.
The finish is short, slightly dry and a tad disappointing.
This is one where I actually find the palate the best part of the experience. Add water, give it a few mins and this is very tasty! Pity about the lacklustre finish but otherwise not bad.
