The nose takes a little time to open up, but once it does it's rich, deep, and complex. Sherry and sweet grain start first, followed by musty old wood and earth, pepper, then overripe fruit, syrup, and finally walnut. This stuff demands your time and rewards your patience.
The palate starts very silky, then the flavor erupts with salt and chile pepper. Right after, the trademark christmas cake opens up and finishes with fresh seaweed. Very very interesting.
Kind of starting backwards, but this makes me want to try the rest of the Dalmore line. Quite unique.
