My first Welsh whisky. What to expect? But for all that matters, Jack Daniels was founded by welsh immigrants. Let's give it a go.
For € 37,- in my opinion great value for money.
Color: warm-gold/pink. Nose: Red fruit, raisins, sweet, slight hint of menthol. The Port is clearly in there. Taste: red fruit, apple, young, coffee, pepper, spicy. Finish: pepper, warm.
A very nice introduction to Penderyn. I'm looking forward to try the standard version (Madeira). I recommend the Portwood.
