Rosebank fell silent in 1993 so this may well be the last reasonably priced Rosebank on the market at between £42 and £48 of your hard earned cash.
On the nose we have some mild citrus notes a little orange rind with some of that lovely toasted malt coming through.
This is quite a dry whisky, it takes you back somewhat when first consumed as it's mild colour and easy going smell underline a powerful and complex whisky. Lot's of spice with a slight chilli sweetness to the finish, the sherry casks used must have been of a very high quality as the marriage of flavours is superb.
Perhaps not a whisky for novices to the water of life due to the cost and the depth on flavour may be lost but well worth buying and setting aside for a while.
The Captain
Is this difficult to get hold of?
No, not really. Whisky exchange should have it, trouble might be trying to get hold of it in a few months, a few people have said it's maybe worth keeping hold of but I firmly believe that whisky is for drinking.
