The reviewed sample is compliments of @maltster. There is no age statement. The bottle is believed to be aged 8-12 years, and was stored 40+ years in a bar
Nose: metallic, like tin, a little malt, a hint of salt, understated and not compelling
Taste: Whoa! cocoa, and gravelly with deep earthy tones and kerosene; some more tin. Refined? maybe refined in the sense of heating oil. Sour...
Finish: sourness continues...and subtle everything else
Balance: some, not a lot...sour with a touch of salt and malt...
Not one of the better Taliskers at this point, robust though, and hearty...except that the robust and hearty flavours are not the more desirable ones
