I juste finished my Dalwhinnie 15. A classic malt and not one of my favorites, but it is always sad to see one pass away !

Finished my 8 year old Bladnoch last night, and a very lovely lowland dram it is too. All is not lost though - I have several other Bladnoch expressions on the shelf.

Tamdhu 10 and Bowmore 12. Soon, a bottle of High West 12yr Rye, the finish lasts for ever!

Clynelish 14 year old. It's been on the shelf for almost a year, never been an absolute favorite until now. But last night as I poured the last few drops into my glass I got a little emotional. Will definitely be buying another bottle soon

Yesterday, my Glenfarclas 15 went empty. So sad I am... I can now buy something else!!!!!!!

@JoeVelo, the way I would look at it, 'I can now buy two or three or four somethings else' ...and more Glenfarclas 15!

@Victor I agree with you but I have limited space at home (wife and children concerns) and I don't buy whisky to keep (except for Highland Park Earl Magnus). I try - believe me it is very hard - to limit my cabinet to 12 bottles (it used to be 4 !). This way I have different styles and I can keep some shelves for rum, gin, grand marnier, etc. Don't worry, I'll get another Glenfarclas 15 or 18 in the future.

Just killed my Auchentoshan Select, a very crispy daily dram, to be replenished immediately!

Tonight is a night of completion. Earlier tonight I finished my final for the third quarter in a long year of organic chemistry. I also am finishing the month of paternity leave (and am not looking forward to work in a few hours) I took to welcome my daughter home. Unfortunately, those two events were more than I bargained for, and I wasn't able to complete the other major events I had set out to - my medical school application and the MCAT.
Regardless, I am happy with what I've accomplished - anything less than a 95 on the final would be a disappointment. To celebrate, I'm also finishing a tasty bag of popcorn, the movie Highlander, and a bottle of Ardbeg 10 yo. Man, what a phenomenal drink. Certainly one of the best ROIs for a bottle sitting on most liquor store shelves. I'll have to get it's replacement tomorrow.

@Rick, Balvenie Founders Reserve is definitely not forgotten here, either!

Last night saw my bottle of Jura Superstition reach the end of its life. I really enjoyed it, quite easy to drink which is probably why it didnt last that long!

@Victor - shame they discontinued it. Like your style hoarding Uigeadail!

Amrut, Batch No. 2 peated and Glenmorangie Nectar D'or went to the great recycling bin in the sky this week. Got to make room for the Ardbeg Aligator and Laphroiag Ileach that we recieved.

Finished of my bottle of Booker's last night, just in time to acquire and crack open the elusive Noah's Mill.

Just polish off a bottle of Uigeadail. I opened this bottle about 3 month back, I notice that on the last quarter of it, the nose and taste has changed. On the nose the peat has kind of becomes less pronounce and I guess due to that, the sweet toffee nose has become more obvious. In the mouth, it feels lighter in viscosity, less round... But still a great bottle. The Uigeadail will always be replenished.

Glencadam 14yo. I felt genuine sorrow as it croaked its last. And it's as rare as hens teeth in these parts which makes it all the more heartbreaking. Im not sure i can carry on without her! oh well, got a bottle of HP18 coming next week to console me. Bring it on!

I've just finished a bottle of Longmorn 15 year old , great expression, I find more complex than the Longmorn 16. Will be very sad when my last bottle is gone from my collection.

@cclward That is a great whisky I have one left and am rationing it closely. The 16 yr does not do it justice.

@Lars Yes , great whisky , another star that has faded in the night. Enjoy while you can.

Connemara Peated. Sweet dram lightly peated. Quite a surprise at first, but so good. I will have to try another Cooley.

Port Askaig 17 yo (Caol Ila) just died. It's a very smooth dram. You can keep pouring it. There are few Islays I dislike, but Caol Ila' s generally see there ends first!

Yesterday i ended the life of my bottle of Laphroaig Quarter Cask, a spectacular dram which has fast become one of my favourite Islay malts. Sad to see it go, but i may have to treat myself to another bottle soon!
